Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad (CSIR-CCMB) invites applications from interested individuals to undertake Project-Based Student Training. The training will be offered for six months. Further extensions for a maximum of six months on a full payment basis are based on the supervisor’s recommendation and after a committee evaluation. Candidates seeking an extension must inform the coordinator four weeks ahead. In addition to laboratory training, candidates must attend lectures on scientific ethics, etiquette, good laboratory practice, highlights of the institute’s ongoing activities, and career opportunities in life sciences.

Fee Details

Note: *Fee covers the GST and does not include accommodation. Students have to arrange for their accommodation. The fee, once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Only online applications are accepted. After applying in the prescribed format, students will receive an automated confirmation email. Students should wait for an offer letter from the CCMB coordinator indicating their selection and payment options. Canteen services will be available on all working days, and the fee does not cover the canteen expenses.

Guidelines

  1. Candidates who have completed B.Tech., M.Sc., M.Tech., M.Pharm., in Life Sciences and completed BDS and MBBS are eligible for this program. Candidates working or pursuing their studies and having registered for other programs are not eligible. Candidates holding only a B.Sc. degree are not eligible.
  2. Candidates must obtain written consent from a CCMB scientist (Supervisor) of their choice (https://www.ccmb.res.in/Research/Research-Groups) and submit it with the online application. The consent letter should indicate the project title and the tenure.
  3. Once the application is submitted, the student must email the coordinator ([email protected]) with the registration number. The application must be submitted at least two weeks before the start date.
  4. Upon receiving the offer letter from the coordinator, the student must make an online payment (bank details provided below) and send a copy of the receipt by return email. The candidate is expected to arrive at CCMB upon receipt of payment confirmation.
  5. On completion of the tenure, the candidate has to submit a research report to the coordinator by email and present a poster on the date recommended by the coordinator to the CCMB Scientific Community. A certificate will be issued only on the timely completion of all the formalities.

Note:

  1. The certificate will not be issued if the candidate discontinues the training.
  2. Students cannot change their supervisor or laboratory after joining.
  3. The fee will not be refunded under any circumstance.
