Content Contribution, Moderation & Approval (CMAP) Policy

The content on the website has to be always authentic, accurate, and up-to-date. Each and every bit of content published on the website is to be verified and checked thoroughly to make the information authentic and accurate. The content of the website goes through the entire life cycle process of:

  1. Creation
  2. Modification
  3. Approval
  4. Moderation
  5. Publishing
  6. Expiry

Following this policy, the website is provided with a role based Content Management System. This CMS helps the website team in giving role specific access of administrator panel to different users. The Web Information Manager will also be able to manage information specifically meant for internal use, which will be viewable to all members after the successful login. Web Information Manager can create the users by assigning them a particular role and Module to which functions of a particular user are limited.

Once the content is contributed it needs to be approved and moderated prior to being published on the Website. The moderation could be multilevel and is role based. If the content is rejected at any level then it is reverted back to the originator of the content for modification.

Content Review (CRP) Policy

The Web Information Manager and the assigned Personnel will have the responsibility for periodically Monitoring & Reviewing the content of the website with respect to their respective domains and keep the information up-to date. A proper workflow (i.e. gather all the information about the particular content related topic) has to be followed before final updating of content on the website.

The Review Policy is based on different type of content elements, its validity and relevance as well as the archival policy.

The Reviewer will review the content and direct the officers of the concerned Section for further action.

For time sensitive content which expires after a certain date (e.g. tender notifications, press releases inviting suggestions, bills pending with the Committees etc), a policy on whether the content should be archived for future reference or removed altogether from the website should be decided by the concerned Section after careful consideration of nature of their content.

Security Policy

CCMB has a responsibility to protect from disclosure to unauthorized parties the personally identifiable information (name, address, date of birth, social security number, etc.) of its website users. Therefore, CCMB has adopted and implemented a website security policy to protect account information of its website users.

Contingency Management Plan

The CCMB website endeavor to be functional and running at all times to provide information and services to the potential users of the website. All possible efforts will be made to minimize the downtime of the website. In eventualities like defacement/hacking of the site, data corruption, hardware/software crash and natural disasters, all the efforts will be made to restore the website in the shortest possible time.

Website Monitoring Plan

We periodically monitor website to address and fix the quality and compatibility issues of the website on the following parameters:

  • Functionality: We test all modules of the website for their smooth functionality.
  • Performance: We test important web pages for the download time.
  • Broken Links: We meticulously review the website to rule out the presence of any broken links or errors.
  • Traffic Analysis- We regularly monitor traffic on the website.
  • Feedback- We collect feedback from users of the website and make necessary changes for valid suggestions.

Content Archival (CAP) Policy

The contents of the CCMB website can be classified as perpetual and with validity period. For time sensitive content which expires after a certain date, a policy on whether the content should be archived for future reference or removed altogether from the website should be decided by the concerned Division/Section after careful consideration of their nature of content. For a few of the components like Media Corner, tenders etc only the live content whose validity date is after the current date is shown on the website.
